Does Jamal Musiala deserve jail time for this infraction?
Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala must have the reputation as an extreme troublemaker.
The 23-year-old seemed to have been closely monitored by the FIFA overlords, as Musiala was identified as a certifiable rule breaker at the World Cup!
So, what dastardly crime did Musiala commit? Well, he did not — initially — cover the logo for his “Beats by Dre” headphones.
(Audible gasp! Clutches pearls!)
Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia) had the extremely disturbing breakdown of this drama:
At FIFA’s request, Jamal Musiala had to cover the logo of his Beats by Dre headphones with a tape strip before the Curaçao game. FIFA is cracking down hard on brand logos at the World Cup – even the players have to hide logos if the companies are not official tournament sponsors.
Having to cover up a logo for headphones during pregame warmups is next level nonsense and ridiculous. Hopefully that athletic tape covering the logo was official and FIFA approved or they might cuff Musiala and throw him in the pokey next time.
