- Manchester City’s brand new 2026/27 away kit is to feature a black and yellow colour scheme directly incorporating the city’s worker bee symbol.
- The palette chosen by kit manufacturer Puma calls back to a fan-favourite, offering a mix of modern design and club nostalgia.
- Following the early release of the gradient-styled home kit in May, the public launch for a new away strip is expected to hit shelves by late July or early August.
Manchester City’s brand new – and currently unreleased – 2026/27 away shirt has seen its first ‘real’ images leaked online.
Following the official release of the 2026/27 home shirt – which featured a unique sky blue gradient fading to white – Puma has turned its focus toward Manchester’s deep-rooted cultural heritage for the secondary strip.
By combining a memorable and popular colour palette with modern techniques, the design team aims to maximise lifestyle crossover appeal, making the jersey just as viable for casual streetwear as it is on the pitch.
This strategy has proven highly lucrative for both Puma and Manchester City’s commercial targets through previous kit releases, keeping the club at the forefront of global football merchandise sales.
Man City’s 2026/27 away shirt revealed
Now, as revealed by Footy Headlines, the first two ‘real’ images of Manchester City’s new 2026/27 away kit have surfaced.
The predominantly black shirt features a subtle embossed worker bee pattern across the front of the strip, in a direct reference to the city of Manchester’s symbol.
When can City fans get their hands on the new shirt?
Manchester City supporters will likely not have to wait much longer to see first-team stars including Erling Haaland, Rayan Cherki, and Phil Foden don the new away kit in person and on the pitch.
With the majority of the squad scheduled to report back for pre-season training from July 20, with the exception of stars featuring in the latter stages of the FIFA World Cup, the official retail rollout is currently tracking for a late July launch.
That timeline would allow the new strip to take centre stage during the club’s three-match pre-season tour of Asia, with Manchester City taking on contests against Inter Milan, K-League All Stars XI, and Atletico Madrid.
