Total Football is back! With World Cup fever gripping RTÉ, the soccer show for young football fans is streaming now on RTÉ Player - catch it each match day on RTÉ2!

And we have some more news. Irish YouTube star DavidMC (ask the kids!) has been signed by the team to join award-winning broadcaster Aisling O'Reilly for the new season!

Over eight jam-packed shows, we catch up with everyone from top Irish striker Troy Parrott to Brentford's boys in green, Nathan Collins and Caoimhín Kelleher. Celtic super fan Paudie meets Liam Scales in Glasgow!

There's lots of love for the girls in green too! Aisling and David are off on a few away days to chat Republic of Ireland Women's National Team stars Denise O'Sullivan at Liverpool and Megan Connolly at Lazio.

It's access all areas for our young reporters at the national team camps. They put the players to the test with some fun games, challenges and ask some hard-hitting questions!

The new season means it's time to up your game with FAI coaches Heather and Cameron. They have eight new Total Skills challenges for kids to try at home. And we get to know the grassroots of the game with a visit to a different club around the country in every episode.

And, speaking of challenges and craic, some of Ireland's top social media stars are in the new studio and out and about meeting football fans. Leo Barnes tells us about his YouTube channel, and we have time for a Protein Bor and some Olivia Spuds!

This World Cup summer, Aisling and David bring audiences closer to the action, the players, and the stories behind the sport.

In the first episode Shamrock Rovers captain Roberto 'Pico' Lopes appears as a special guest ahead of his World Cup appearance with Cape Verde. Total Football meets the talented crew from Transport Iveagh Trust FC, DavidMC debunks goalkeeper hacks and star reporter Luke visits the Men's National Team’s training camp.

FAI Director of Football John Martin said: "It is fantastic to have Total Football back for a second season, just in time for a busy summer period where children all around the country will hopefully be out playing football.

"Total Football is a brilliant way to engage with younger viewers and give them real insights to football at all levels, from grassroots to League of Ireland and through to our Ireland Men's and Women's Teams. Hopefully the eight new episodes will help to encourage even more children to get involved in football."
