Known for his swash-buckling antics on the left flank, Antonee Robinson has emerged as one of world football's better left backs in recent years.
On Saturday, the United States Men's National Team defender showed why. Facing off against the mighty Germans in the U.S.'s final tune-up match before the World Cup, Robinson dazzled, slaloming beyond the likes of Joshua Kimmich and Leroy Sane to power the Americans' upset efforts.
In the latter stages of the first half, Robinson got his just rewards for a fine performance, bursting the net with a fiery volley from well outside the box.

The Americans leveled things up at one with a stunning strike from Robinson in the 37th minute. The left back caught a hold of a bouncing ball, whipping the lofted effort above Oliver Baumann's outstretched arm.

It was Robinson's second goal in as many international matches. He found the target in the USMNT's 3-2 win over Senegal on May 31. The fullback's teammate couldn't help but show their delight with his finish, greeting Robinson with hands on their temples and mouths agape.

Robinson rounded off his fifth international score in style, completing a backflip that was eerily reminiscent to efforts from the likes of Mary Lou Retton and Dominique Dawes. Suffice to say, his celebration had the soccer world talking.

Who does Antonee Robinson play club for?
Robinson plies his trade for Fulham at the club level. A Milton Keynes, England native, Robinson settled in White Plains, NY and later became a citizen. He has emerged as one of the English Premier League's finest fullbacks since joining the London-based club from Wigan Athletic in 2020. He was named Fulham's Player of the Season in 2023-24 and U.S. Soccer Player of the Year in 2025.
Across 158 Premier League appearances, Robinson has one goal and 17 assists.
United States World Cup schedule
The U.S. will kick off its World Cup run with a matchup against Paraguay on June 12 at 9 p.m. ET. The match will take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., the home of the NFL's Rams and Chargers.
If the United States advances out of Group D, its Round of 32 contest will take place between the days of June 29 and July 3.
