Tuesday is new Billboard chart day each week! As all charts update each Tuesday morning, here’s a look at highlights of the latest rankings, dated Aug. 1 and reflecting the July 17-23 measurement week, according to data tracker Luminate (or otherwise noted).
Among this week’s chart stars are Gracie Abrams, Ella Langley, Shakira, Burna Boy and Morgan Wallen.
Plus, BTS’ “Normal” blasts back to the top five of the Billboard Global 200. After debuting at its previous No. 5 high in May concurrent with the chart start of parent album ARIRANG, the song reenters at No. 4 with 26.6 million streams and 48,000 sold worldwide July 17-23, according to Luminate.
On the U.S.-based Billboard Hot 100, the song returns at a new No. 33 high, besting its No. 41 prior peak and becoming BTS’ 19th top 40 hit on the chart. Its video arrived July 17. Meanwhile, Interscope Capitol began promoting it to pop radio as of Monday (July 27).
Also building buzz for the song: Ads published in the San Francisco Chronicle July 13 and the New York Post July 14 with the headline, “BTS Seen in Bathroom Amid Mysterious Late-Night Gathering.” The proclaimed “shocking photo” showed the singers standing in a bathroom, their backs to the camera, with copy reading, “Questions have been raised following a late-night photo appearing to show all seven BTS members together in what appears to be an unexpected setting. While the gathering itself remains unconfirmed, some have questioned whether the situation was entirely normal. The image has quickly sparked curiosity and speculation.”

- Gracie Abrams Daughter From Hell debuts as her first No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and her second on both Top Album Sales and Vinyl Albums. It additionally leads Americana/Folk Albums. Abrams joyously posted Sunday (July 26), “Whoa thank you so much. this is nuts and entirely your doing!!!”
- Ella Langley “Choosin’ Texas” tops the Hot 100 for a 15th week. Among non-holiday songs by women with no co-billed acts, it’s now the longest-leading hit in the chart’s history, surpassing two classics: Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together” and Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.” Browse every hit that has commanded the Hot 100 for 10 or more weeks here.
- Shakira X Burna Boy The pair’s “Dai Dai (FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026)” remains the biggest song in the world, triumphing on the Billboard Global 200 for a third week and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. for a fifth frame.
- Stella Lefty Up three more spots to No. 3, “Boston” becomes the first top five Hot 100 hit for the singer-songwriter, as country titles claim the chart’s top four spots for only the second time ever.
- Morgan Wallen Wallen scores his 21st No. 1 on Country Airplay with “Don’t We.” It makes history as the seventh leader from his 2025 album I’m the Problem — which becomes the first set to have spun off that many Country Airplay chart-toppers via a non-deluxe version.
- Descendants: Wicked Wonderland The latest offering from Disney’s fruitful fantasy franchise Descendants casts a spell on the charts, as Descendants: Wicked Wonderland debuts on multiple rankings, including at No. 1 on Kid Albums. The film, which premiered on Disney Channel July 16 and hit the Disney+ streaming service a day later, is the sequel to Descendants: The Rise of Red (2024) and the fifth film in the Descendants series.
- Motionless in White Decades debuts as the band’s fourth No. 1 on Top Hard Rock Albums.
- Three Days Grace “Don’t Wanna Go Home Tonight” becomes the group’s 21st No. 1 on Mainstream Rock Airplay.
- Farruko X Greeicy X Steve Aoki “YAPAQUE” hits No. 1 on Latin Airplay, marking the acts’ respective 14th, first and first leader.
- Ke personajes & Los Ángeles Azules “De La A A La Z” reaches No. 1 on Regional Mexican Airplay, becoming their respective first and eight chart-topper.
- The Chainsmokers & Oaks “Echo” hits No. 1 on Dance Airplay, where it’s the acts’ 11th and third leader, respectively.
- Magnus Ferrell Will Ferrell’s son makes his Billboard chart debut, at No. 24 on Digital Song Sales, with the viral “Asleep Talking.”
