With the 2026 FIFA Women's Basketball World Cup swiftly approaching in Berlin, Germany, USA Basketball announced its star-studded roster for the tournament, including Iowa Hawkeyes legend Caitlin Clark.
The 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup will be played from Sept. 4-13. Clark is making her major international debut with USA Basketball during the tournament.
Clark is joined by fellow Indiana Fever teammate Aliyah Boston and head coach Stephanie White, who will serve as an assistant coach on staff.
The Fever duo joins a roster that includes A'ja Wilson, Kahleah Copper, Paige Bueckers, Napheesa Collier, Chelsea Gray, Rhyne Howard, Kelsey Plum, Angel Reese, Breanna Stewart, and Jackie Young.
Clark was part of the FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament roster in March of this year. The 6-foot guard would go on to be named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player after averaging 11.4 points per game and 6.4 assists per game to help lead the United States to a championship victory.
The United States will compete in three games in the preliminary round, beginning with China (Sept. 4), Italy (Sept. 6), and the Czech Republic (Sept. 7). The top team in each group will receive automatic qualification to the quarterfinal round, while the second and third-place teams in each group will compete in a qualification round for the remaining quarterfinal spots.
