Wine glasses of rosé, a casual $8,000 Louis Vuitton x The Darjeeling Limited duffle bag, two guys deep in conversation on a West Village corner at golden hour. Callum Turner‘s dinner with a buddy came out looking like a fragrance campaign. It’s a little too perfect. And Dua Lipa wasn’t even there.

The setting was Cafe Cluny, the French-American bistro at 284 W 12th St that’s been feeding the West Village in New York City since 2006. Turner and an unnamed friend sat outside at a small bistro table on July 20, a bottle of rosé between them, a pack of cigarettes on the table, warm light glowing from the window behind them.

The outfit looked intentionally casual: a navy striped rugby top over a white turtleneck, faded jeans, brown suede sneakers, and a dark cap. His friend went for a sage button-down with the sleeves rolled, cream shorts, and olive suede clogs. Under the table, Callum stowed a $8,000 Louis Vuitton x The Darjeeling Limited safari-themed duffle bag.

No red carpet, no publicist, no reason for the frame to look this composed. But the Backgrid exclusive lands like a styled shoot anyway.

This one’s a solo outing for the actor. Turner married Dua Lipa in 2026 and the two have been all over New York as newlyweds, from a July 10 dinner date at I Sodi to the FIFA World Cup final at MetLife. The Cafe Cluny catch-up is just him and a friend.

It’s almost as if all the whirlwind paparazzi coverage of Callum and his new wife, Dua Lipa, left Callum desiring a little solo time in the spotlight.
