Andrew Giuliani, Donald Trump's director of the White House World Cup task force, has revealed the U.S. President's stance on the U.S. Men's National Team's displays amid his continued avoidance of games, whilst having become the subject of fan chants.

Trump, 80, may steer clear of attending any World Cup game featuring an English-speaking nation following the viral spread of insulting chants directed at him. Supporters from England, Scotland, Australia, and New Zealand have all crafted songs that now reverberate through bars ahead of games and fill stadiums during matches.

According to The Mirror, lead broadcasters have already been made aware of the controversial chants being heard during games. It comes after insulting chants aimed at Trump were sung by Socceroos fans, causing a "crisis."

Trump's conspicuous absence from World Cup fixtures has been hard to ignore — particularly given that Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and Mexico's Claudia Sheinbaum have both already made appearances.

Trump's attention is currently focused on resolving the Iran conflict, with final details being ironed out following months of intensive negotiations, as per The Mirror US.

Nevertheless, Giuliani described Trump as "pumped" heading into the remainder of the tournament, with the USMNT having already secured their place in the knockout rounds. Whether he will attend any matches beyond the July 19 final, however, remains unclear.

"I spoke to him a day or two after the U.S. won against Paraguay," Giuliani told The Athletic. "He's pumped. He understands this is a really good team that has a really special opportunity here.

"As this tournament goes on, as this U.S. team continues to play the way they are, you are going to continue to see, I think, more and more members of the administration.

"You're going to see some really high-level representation in Los Angeles on Thursday."

FIFA is organizing special opening ceremonies to commemorate America's 250th anniversary at both World Cup Round of 16 matches on July 4 in Houston and Philadelphia. Giuliani declined to confirm whether the President will participate in them as well.

"I always like to say there is nobody, nobody who likes a cliffhanger more than the 45th and 47th president, Donald J. Trump," Giuliani said.

"So all I tell people is just to stay tuned about his World Cup exploits.

"Obviously, he's pulled in a lot of different directions on July 4. There are a whole lot of things going on."
