Roma have their new right-back, as multiple sources report a full agreement with Atletico Madrid for Nahuel Molina, a package worth €18m with salary at €2.7m per season.

The Argentina international is expected to fly in over the next 24 hours for his medical tests, and can then join his new teammates at their pre-season training camp in Wales.

Sky Sport Italia put the precise figures of the agreement at €13m plus €4m in add-ons, whereas Fabrizio Romano and Sport Mediaset bump that total package up to €18m.

Considering his current contract with Atletico Madrid expires in June 2027, the cost was considerably less than it otherwise might’ve been for a World Cup Finalist.

This represents a return to Serie A for Molina, as the 28-year-old already wore the Udinese jersey from 2020 to 2022, when he completed his €20m transfer to Atletico Madrid.

Retesport claim the long-term contract with Roma is going to be worth €2.7m per season, fully agreeing personal terms.

Their first choice had been Givairo Read, but Feyenoord rejected the package worth €28m and Roma were not prepared to go any higher for the 20-year-old.
