The global travel industry just received a reality check. According to the latest Skift Travel Health Index: June 2026 Highlights, instead of a uniform summer surge, June delivered a fragmented picture: pricing power drove headlines, international long-haul travel softened, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup delivered localized surges.
Yet, the Index held at 100 in June 2026, matching last year and bouncing back after two slow months below the benchmark. This result reflects an industry operating with great adaptability.
