Sligo Rovers cruised into the third round of the Club Orange Men's FAI Cup after a 4-0 win at Limerick side Janesboro FC.
It was the Bit o' Red's first match since the departure of manager John Russell, who has now taken charge of Shelbourne but saw his side suffer a penalty shootout defeat at First Division outfit Kerry on Friday night.
Russell's former charges enjoyed better fortunes on Saturday evening, with Ryan Casey taking interim charge of a Sligo that lie bottom of the League of Ireland's top flight.
Luke Pearce gave the SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division side the lead after two minutes, converting right-back Jeannot Esua's cross.
Archie Meekison then doubled that lead on 29 minutes from another Esua delivery. Sean McHale and Pearce completed the scoring in the second half to ensure Sligo go into the third round draw which will take place on RTÉ Radio 1's Inside Sport on Tuesday.
First Division Longford Town thrashed Leinster Senior League club Baldoyle United 8-0 as Stefan Ugbesia helped himself to four goals.
Pharrell Manuel had netted a brace by the 10th minute before Ugbesia's first as Longford went into the break three goals up.
The floodgates opened in the 66th minute when Alex O'Brien made it 4-0 before Ugbesia scored three times in the space of five minutes.
Cole Omorehiomwan added the eighth goal late on.
College Corinthians made their way into the third round but only after a nine-goal thriller as they came out on top 5-4 against fellow non-league side Bangor Celtic at Blakes Astro Pearse Park in Crumlin.
A pair of goals inside the first 11 minutes from Anthony Brothers' header and Padraig McGrath's low shot seemingly had the away side from Cork in control.
But Callum Redmond hit back quickly to leave it 2-1 at the break.
However, the away side extended their lead with two long-range goals in the space of four minutes early in the second half from Killian Cooper.
But Jake Scott's brace for the hosts left Bangor Celtic trailing by just a single goal by the hour mark.
Cooper netted again shortly after to complete his hat-trick for College Corinthians and they held onto win despite Adam Colgan's goal 20 minutes from time.
In another all non-league clash, Castlebar Celtic also advance after a 1-0 win at Douglas Hall thanks to Dylan Felle's 20 minute goal.
