Group E winners Germany will be hoping for an improved defensive performance on Monday as it takes on an improving Paraguay in this 2026 World Cup Round of 32 clash.

Having kicked off its tournament in scintillating style with a 7-1 mauling of Curaçao, Die Mannschaft looked vulnerable in its 2-1 win over Ghana, before suffering a shock 2-1 defeat against Ecuador in the final group match.

Goal-shy Paraguay, meanwhile, scraped into the Round of 32 after finishing as the seventh-best third-place finishers. La Albirroja endured a heavy 4-1 beating in its opening match against co-hosts USA, but regrouped to pick up a gutsy 1-0 win over Turkey, followed by a creditable goalless draw in its final Group D match against Australia.

Germany takes on Paraguay in this Round of 32 match on Monday at Boston Stadium (Gillette Stadium) in Massachusetts, with kickoff at 4:30 p.m. ET. That makes it a 1:30 p.m. PT start on the West Coast in the US and Canada, a 9:30 p.m. BST start in the UK and a 6:30 a.m. AEST kickoff in Australia on Tuesday.
