INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)— The American summer getaway is being redefined in Las Vegas, where the city is positioning itself as a global hub for entertainment, sports and large-scale seasonal celebrations.

Vegas Insiders Sean McAllister and Dayna Roselli say the destination is preparing for two major international moments: the FIFA World Cup and America250, both of which are expected to draw global attention and tourism.

A centerpiece of the summer rollout includes eight consecutive Saturday fireworks shows beginning June 6, 2026, and running through July 25. The displays will light up the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown Las Vegas as part of America250 programming.

Officials are also promoting large-scale viewing events, sports programming and free attractions designed to draw visitors across all budgets, including resort-based fan zones for World Cup matches and other major sporting events.

McAllister highlighted new entertainment developments, including the Vanderpump Hotel project, the first hospitality venture from reality star Lisa Vanderpump. The property features signature design elements such as crystal-heavy décor and a lounge named Jigalow.

Roselli also pointed to the opening of Omnia Dayclub & Sky Bar, located near the Caesars Palace area and connected to nightlife venues known for celebrity appearances and DJ performances.

Additional summer attractions include a new sports-focused day club at Mandalay Bay called Tailgate Beach Club, designed for large-scale viewing experiences during major sporting events.

America250 celebrations are also extending beyond the Strip, including illuminated nighttime displays at Hoover Dam featuring the American flag through the Fourth of July.

Roselli said nearly every major resort will host viewing parties for international events such as the World Cup, alongside promotional packages aimed at travelers looking for bundled experiences.

Inclusive summer deals are being offered across multiple properties, including Circa Resort & Casino, Luxor Las Vegas and Excalibur Hotel & Casino, as well as properties operated by Caesars Entertainment such as the Flamingo Las Vegas, Harrah’s Las Vegas and The LINQ Hotel + Experience. The Fontainebleau Las Vegas is also offering seasonal packages.

Other attractions highlighted for visitors include the High Roller observation wheel, immersive museums, resort pools, roller coasters and “dive-in” movie nights across the city.

Travelers are encouraged to explore event schedules and package options online at Visit Las Vegas summer guide as the city prepares for what officials are calling one of its most active summer seasons to date.
