Madonna laced up custom Saint Laurent boots for her FIFA World Cup 2026 Final halftime performance at New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday.

Madonna, who opened up the halftime performance, modeled custom metallic leather Danceteria boots from Saint Laurent, where Anthony Vaccarello is creative director and Corrado De Biase is the freelance design director of men’s and women’s shoes. It’s a go-to shoe style for her tracing back to her “Confessions on a Dance Floor” era, featuring a tight lace-up shaft reaching to her knee and a block heel.

The subtly shimmering purple of Madonna’s boots complemented the rest of her look including a pink Rosamosario corset, Diesel’s lurex jersey zip top and Saint Laurent’s Teddy jacket and shorts. Her accessories included Swarovski-embellished Sermoneta gloves and several Swarovski pieces including custom earrings, a Millenia necklace and an Una Angelic necklace with a crystalized whistle. Madonna’s performance at the anticipated soccer match follows her style streak during men’s fashion week in Paris in late June. The “Vogue” singer stepped out in silver lace-up knee-high boots, a signature footwear silhouette for the pop icon, coordinated with a silver jacket and bright blue dress. She also attended the Saint Laurent show wearing pink and black cap-toe slingback pumps from the brand with a red lace long-sleeve minidress.

In early June, Madonna performed a surprise concert in Times Square hosted by Grindr wearing silver pieces including Saint Laurent lace-up boots (what looked like the same pair she later wore in Paris) and a cropped Gucci jacket, which were paired with a Dolce & Gabbana lingerie look. Her performance kicked off Pride Month and previewed her 15th studio album “Confessions II,” which dropped on July 3 and serves as a follow-up to her 2005 album “Confessions on a Dance Floor.”

The FIFA World Cup 2026 Final found Spain, the reigning champions of Europe, taking the title away from Argentina, the reigning World Cup champions, with a 1-0 final score. The tournament’s first halftime show, curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay and supporting the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, also featured Justin Bieber, Shakira and BTS. Post Malone headlined the pre-match closing ceremony while Jennifer Hudson performed the national anthem.
