In a recent report, The Sun mentioned that Manchester United are keeping tabs on the situation of Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins. It has been claimed that the Red Devils would have to compete with Arsenal in the race to land the English forward this summer.
Watkins’ Impressive Numbers In English Football
Watkins enjoyed a good run of form at the Midlands club after he produced a string of impressive displays for them on the offensive end of the field. The English talent banged in 21 goals and picked up five assists in 55 appearances for Aston Villa last season in multiple competitions.
The 30-year-old is currently among the talented forwards in the Premier League. Hence, it is no surprise that the Red Devils are showing interest in recruiting the English striker this summer.
His current contract at Old Trafford will expire in the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for Man United to consider in this transfer window.
Will Watkins Be A Good Choice For Manchester United Boss Michael Carrick?
