The New England Revolution resumed their season on Wednesday night after the MLS's lengthy break for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, doing so in a goalless draw against Toronto FC. The Revolution failed to convert on their four shots on target, failing to make the most out of their 64 percent possession throughout the match.
This isn't something that is too uncommon for New England's offense as they sit in the middle of the pack for goals scored at the moment, but well below any other team in the upper half of the Eastern Conference table, where they sit nestled in at the fourth spot. But that could change in the coming days, as it's been reported that the Revolution is about to add some Premier League experience to its squad.

As reported by The Athletic's Tom Bogert, the Revolution are in the final stages of a move for Leeds United's Jack Harrison, with the fee for the move being undisclosed. Harrison spent last season split between the Premier League with the Peacocks and the Serie A with Fiorentina, playing a total of 35 matches, recording four goal involvements across the two leagues.
At the peak of his powers at Elland Road, Harrison was a constant threat on the offensive end of the pitch, recording 64 goal involvements, with 34 of those coming from his foot to the back of the net, all over a five-season stretch.
If the move is to go through, it would see the 29-year-old return to the league where he got his start, having played with NYCFC during the formative years of his career. Across his two seasons in the MLS, Harrison found the back of the net a total of 14 times, along with nine assists. These numbers would be enough to help him get a move across the pond to the English football pyramid.
Harrison would be a pivotal piece to New England's offensive schemes moving forward as they continue their playoff push throughout the second half of the season.
