Life at the Bernabeu has been crazy as of late, following the results of Real Madrid's presidential election that saw Florentino Perez keep his spot in the club. Since that point, Los Blancos have been busy as they look to rebuild their team following a second straight season that saw them come away trophyless, with the La Liga title going to Catalonia for another year.
Some of their initial acquisitions include Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konate, and the rumored capture of Bernardo Silva, who is set to become a free agent after the expiration of his contract with Manchester City. But it appears that their summer transfer window haul is set to be added to, as they're set to welcome Marc Cucurella back to La Liga.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid have reached a verbal agreement with Marc Cucurella, with the move intended to occur at the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The move comes after a campaign that saw Cucurella's Chelsea struggle in the English Premier League, finishing in tenth place, meaning they won't be participating in any European competition, something that the Spanish defender would most likely be looking for at this stage in his career.
While Chelsea struggled, Cucurella had a consistent season with the Blues, recording five goal involvements, 37 interceptions on the defensive ends, and winning out on 61 tackles.
Further financial information on the deal, awaiting confirmation by both parties, includes a €55 million initial fee, with €5 million in add-ons coming over the course of Cucurella's time at the Bernabeu, as reported by The Athletic's David Ornstein.
If it comes to fruition, the move will see the Spaniard return to La Liga, having come up through Real Madrid's rivals, Barcelona's academy, La Masia, even appearing for the Catalonain side early on in his career.
For now, all eyes will be on Cucurella to see how he and the Spanish National Team perform at the World Cup, with their opening match coming on Monday afternoon, with kick-off against Cabo Verde slated for 12:00 p.m. EST.
