The sound of bagpipes and a spirit of generosity filled the air as Scotland’s Tartan Army brought more than just national pride to a children’s hospital in Providence, Rhode Island.

More than 100 Scottish soccer fans visited Hasbro Children’s Hospital, where they presented a $10,000 donation.

The funds were raised through the group’s charitable efforts during their time in Providence for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, reflecting their deep-rooted tradition of giving back to the communities that welcome them.

This latest contribution marked the largest donation the Tartan Army has made to date. Over the years, the group has supported local causes on 112 trips around the world as they travel to cheer on their national football team.

Watch the sweet moment of football pride and generosity unfold.

“Hasbro Children’s Hospital is where this community brings its children when they are at their most vulnerable,” said Ian Cox, a representative of the Providence Tartan Army. “It’s Rhode Island’s hospital for kids, a place families across this region rely on in the moments that matter most. The people who work here give everything they have to provide care, comfort and hope every single day.”

Hasbro Children’s was chosen as the beneficiary following a recommendation from the Providence Police Department, which worked closely with the Tartan Army in the months leading up to the visit.

Members of the Tartan Army also joined patients and their families for the hospital’s special “Good Night Lights” ceremony, adding another meaningful moment to a day centered on connection, compassion and community.
