In addition to hosting two World Cup match sites, the state of Texas is hosting four national teams that are based and practicing in the state.
FIFA released the locations where the 48 teams will base themselves, where they will spend time between matches preparing for their next one.
“Team Base Camps are an integral part of the fabric of any FIFA World Cup,” said Heimo Schirgi, CFO of the FIFA World Cup 2026. “Finalizing the list of Team Base Camp Training Sites for the FIFA World Cup 2026 is especially exciting because of its unprecedented scale, which gives us the welcome and wonderful opportunity to involve even more communities and fans in this groundbreaking tournament.”
Here is a look at which Texas cities will be playing temporarily home to four teams this summer:
2026 FIFA World Cup teams basing out of Texas
Saudi Arabia, Austin
Saudi Arabia will be using Austin FC's Q2 Stadium as its base camp.
Sweden, Frisco
Sweden will be using Toyota Stadium in the Dallas suburb of Frisco as its base camp.
Democratic Republic of the Congo, Houston
The Democratic Republic of the Congo will be using the Houston Training Center as its base camp.
Czechia, Mansfield
Czechia, formerly known as the Czech Republic, will be using the Mansfield Multipurpose Stadium as its base camp. Mansfield is a suburb of Dallas, actually next to Arlington, which is hosting matches.
Saudi Arabia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo both have games in the Texas city where they are based.
Where is the United States base camp?
The United States is using the Great Park Sports Complex in Irvine, Calif. for its base camp.
Where is the Mexico base camp?
Mexico is basing out of Centro de Alto Rendimiento in Mexico City.

When is the 2026 FIFA World Cup?
The 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup takes place between June 11 and July 19 in the US, Canada and Mexico. The first game of the tournament is in Mexico and the tournament will conclude with the finals in New York City.
