The Australian taking on Nigel Farage — from Down Under

Among the 33 candidates running against Nigel Farage in what’s been described as a farce of a by-election in England’s Clacton-on-Sea, the Snoop has spotted… an Australian, who lives in Australia.

Independent Daniel Pocock, not to be confused with independent ACT Senator and former Wallaby David, has codenamed his attempt at election “Pocock-on-Sea”. His pitch is that British politicians had already effectively campaigned to adopt Australian policies (indeed, the UK adopted a tough refugee processing regime inspired by Australia, and has recently adopted our teen social media ban as well), so one may as well have the real thing.
