Tyla revived an edgy footwear look from her wardrobe for an outing in Berlin on Tuesday, stepping out in an Alexander Wang sandal and a neon jacket repping New York.
The “Water” singer previously wore the same shoes one year ago — seemingly to the day — in Berlin, when she performed at Maaya Berlin. During this trip to the German capital, she hosted a listening party for her sophomore album “A*Pop” for fans on Monday, which is set for release on July 26. It was on Tuesday that she showed yet another way to style Alexander Wang’s Riot sandals, which feature large silver Rocco studs along black leather straps. The straps intersect in an X-shape toward the front of the foot, and a 4.1-inch stiletto heel lifts the style.
As an edgy studded style, the shoes were an eye-catching part of a relatively minimalist yet bold ensemble. The South African singer-songwriter embraced the no-pants look for the outing and paired her heels with a neon green windbreaker featuring the Yankees emblem in one corner. She wore her hair straightened and tied back in a ponytail, while an oversized feathery earring in a pale pink hue adorned her right ear. Last year, Tyla styled the shoes with high-waisted biker shorts, a studded bralette and an oversized leather jacket.

Tyla’s footwear style is bold and eclectic, morphing to fit in with her looks which might range from a peacock-inspired ornate Valentino gown at the Met Gala to a color-blocked dress at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony. These looks were respectively completed by heels that fit in with the enduring clear shoes trend — she wore a Valentino spring 2026 suede aquamarine pump with a clear strap across the toes for the former event and a Jeffrey Campbell wedge heel with a transparent vinyl strap for the latter occasion. When it comes to footwear, she’s also a fan of animal prints and gladiator styles.
