It’s a busy day at Como, as both Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah and Borussia Dortmund defender Yan Couto arrived for their medicals. ‘I can’t wait to get started.’

The Lariani were in Serie B just two years ago, but are now gearing up for their first ever participation in the Champions League.

That means further reinforcements this summer, and coach Cesc Fabregas has two new signings coming in today.

Como welcome Chalobah and Couto

Chalobah spoke to reporters as he went into the medical centre for his tests, completing a transfer worth €30m plus add-ons from Chelsea.

“Always ready. I can’t wait to get started, so let’s go,” smiled the England international.

Chalobah was at the 2026 World Cup with the side that secured the bronze medal and is a product of the Chelsea academy, so this will be the first permanent departure from that club.

Meanwhile, Couto is also currently undergoing his medical tests with Como.

It is reported to be a loan at a cost of €3m from Borussia Dortmund, with an option to buy at the end of the season for a further €22m.

Como are also covering the full salary, which is believed to be around €5m per season.
