Just eight teams remain in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but there are still 10 Gunners preparing for quarter-final ties in the USA, with three of the four ties featuring at least one Arsenal player.
Gunners will feature in the last eight for Belgium, England, France, Norway and Spain, as they bid to become the first players to win the World Cup while playing for us since Mesut Ozil, Per Mertesacker and Lukas Podolski tasted glory with Germany in 2014.
William Saliba will be the first of our ten in quarter-final action when his France side take on Morocco in a repeat of the 2022 semi-final on Thursday, July 9 (9pm UK). Wilo's side have made it through having scored an incredible 14 goals in their five games so far, conceding just twice in the tournament.
Saliba reaches World Cup quarter-final with France
If Les Bleus were to continue their form through to the quarter-finals, they'd become only the third team in World Cup history to reach three straight finals, after West Germany (1982, 1986, 1990) and Brazil (1994, 1998, 2002).
The following evening, our Spanish trio of David Raya, Martin Zubimendi and last 16 match-winner Mikel Merino will come up against Leandro Trossard's Belgium.
Both Mikel and Leo had a part to play in their respective last-16 victories, as Leo set up one of Belgium's four goals against the USA, while Mikel netted a stoppage-time winner to see Spain past Portugal.
Spain's hero Merino: “Now everything makes sense”
It promises to be an exciting quarter-final clash between the two European nations, with Belgium among the tournament's top scoring teams with 13 goals in five games, while Spain are the only team left standing yet to concede a goal.
We'll have more Gunners going head-to-head on Saturday, July 11 when Martin Odegaard's Norway face our England quartet in Miami (10pm UK). Eberechi Eze, Noni Madueke, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka have all featured for the Three Lions.
While Thomas Tuchel's side have reached the last eight for the third consecutive World Cup, opponents Norway will be in unfamiliar territory as they contest their first World Cup quarter-final.
Odegaard: From debuting at 15 to World Cup captain
Martin's side have battled through difficult tests against Ivory Coast and Brazil in the knockout stages, winning both games 2-1. England meanwhile came from behind to beat a resilient DR Congo team by the same scoreline, before winning a World Cup classic against Mexico at the Azteca Stadium in the last 16.
The fourth quarter-final is the only one not to feature an active Arsenal player, as Argentina, who produced a sensational comeback against Egypt in the last 16, face Switzerland, who knocked Colombia out on penalties.
The quarter-finals are being played in bracket order, which means France or Morocco will face Spain or Belgium in Dallas in the first semi-final (July 14, 8pm), before England or Norway take on Argentina or Switzerland 24 hours later in Atlanta.
