As the 2026 FIFA World Cup round of 32 bracket takes shape, Norway lost 4-1 to France on Friday, June 26 to end up in second place in Group I.

Norway opened its World Cup campaign in dominant fashion, thrashing Iraq 4-1. In its second group-stage match, Norway edged Senegal 3-2 in a thrilling, back-and-forth encounter.

With two wins in two matches, Norway entered the match against France with the luxury of resting players, knowing that a knockout berth was already assured.

Head coach Ståle Solbakken opted to make wholesale changes, including leaving star forward Erling Haaland out of the game, which damaged his side's chances against France.

Either way, Norway is through as Group I runner-up and will look ahead to the knockout round.

Who will Norway play in World Cup round of 32?
