Spain have replaced Argentina at the top of FIFA's world rankings after their 1-0 win over the Albieleste in Sunday night's World Cup final.
This summer's tournament has caused a shake up of the rankings, with Norway the biggest beneficiaries as they rose 12 places to 19th overall after reaching the last eight, while Switzerland are up five places to 15th after reaching the same stage.
France remain third overall ahead of England, while Brazil have moved up one place to fifth. Morocco have also moved up, rising to sixth as Portugal drop two places to seventh.
Co-hosts Mexico have moved up four places to enter the top 10, but Germany have dropped down two places to 12th after a poor campaign that ended in a penalty shootout loss to Paraguay in the round of 32.
