Worth Noting: Oakley and Meta take fans into FIFA’s championship celebration, Lorier’s core collection returns, and Mercedes opens its new LA studio space

Oakley’s smart shades take a victory lap, a cult favorite collection returns, and Mercedes lets clients dream up the car of their dreams in LA.

Leading this week’s edition of Worth Noting is the Spanish National Team celebrating their victory with the help of Oakley Meta as players brought fans into the on-field celebration via POV footage from their smartglasses. The team wore exclusive pairs with custom packaging and lenses etched with the FIFA World Cup Champions mark and players like Pablo Gavi shot first-person footage that can be seen below.

Cult favorite Lorier is bringing back a number of fan favorites with the re-release of four styles: the Astra, Falcon, Hyperion, and Neptune. Our favorite, the Hyperion ($799), is a true/flyer GMT model with a bidirectional 24-hour red-and-blue bezel paired to a glossy black dial and gilt accents inspired by the Jet Age.
